THE BEGINNING OF ALL

    The first Starbucks opened in Pike Place maket, Seattle, Washington, on March 31, 1971, by three partners who met while they were students name Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker that has inspired to sell high-quality coffee beans and equipment by coffee roasting  entrepreneur and Alfred Peet after he taught them his style of roasting beans. 

The name and logo were inspired by novel Moby-Dick.The founders brainstormed a list of words beginning with "st". Someone pulled out an old mining map of the Cascade Range and saw a mining town named "Starbo", which immediately put Bowker in mind of the character "Starbuck". Bowker said, "Moby-Dick didn't have anything to do with Starbucks directly; it was only coincidental that the sound seemed to make sense."

*1991 They become the first privately owned U.S. company to offer a stock option program that in cludes par-time employees.

*1994 there were 422 stores in North America

*1995 the began serving Frappachino Blended Beverages

*1996 the company went international & opened a coffeehouse in Japan and Singapore 

*1997 Starbucks had 1;412 stores and opened stores in the Phillippones

By the year 2000; the company had 3,501 stores ;ocated around the world.

*2006 the launched the industry's first paper brewage cup.

In 2009 the becoame the world's largest buyer pf fair trade certified coffee

Currently  there are nearly 18,000 coffeehouses in 62 countries. Starbucks is currently the largest coffeehouse company in the world
